About Precision Gage & Tool Co.

Precision Gage & Tool Co., was founded in 1929 and has maintained a leadership role in manufacturing measuring equipment.  We produce high-accuracy fineness of grind gages commonly used as a tool to check dispersion, the size of agglomerates, or particle size.  PG&T also manufactures printing plates, wet film applicators and adhesion testing equipment for the worldwide ink and paint industries.  We continue to manufacture a host of products for industries that includes but not limited to.

Over the years, we added standard and custom gage products for the railroad industry.  This has become a major part of the business manufacturing over 1500 various gages and we do a wide variety of custom railroad gages.

In 1998, Precision Gage & Tool Co. acquired the complete line of world-renowned Sheffield gages, including Precisionaire®, Micronaire® Smooth Check Paper & Fiber Gage, Bearing Gages, and related air gage tooling and accessories. 

PG&T recently added the Metro DRO interface to its line of air gauging products.
